CareerSource Citrus Levy Marion was established in the late 1990s as part of a nationwide effort to modernize workforce development, becoming a regional workforce board under the Workforce Investment Act and later operating under today’s Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA). We are members of the 21-region CareerSource Florida system and a proud partner of the American Job Center network that covers all 50 states, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Territories.

Our organization was created with a bold idea: that the strength of a community is built from the strengths of its people. From day one, we set out not just to fill jobs, but to open doors — bringing together employers, educators, and local partners to create pathways that change lives and help grow and sustain businesses.

Over the years, our mission has grown into a vibrant, business-led, community‑powered effort that fuels economic transformation through innovative, results‑oriented workforce solutions that create measurable impact. CareerSource CLM has been recognized nationally as a demand‑driven workforce board, a reflection of our deep commitment to listening first — understanding what businesses need, what job seekers aspire to, and how we can bridge the two. Every year, we invest millions in workforce programs that strengthen businesses, lift families, and build lasting opportunity. From scholarships that help aspiring teachers earn full certification, to innovative broadband‑skills training that brings high‑tech careers to rural communities, our work continues to spark hope, create momentum, and shape a more prosperous future for Citrus, Levy, and Marion counties.
